One major component of Elliott’s creative palette has been film scoring for advertising. He has provided music for advertising since 1977, as well as memorable scores for corporate video. He began composing theater music in 1975 during the heyday of Chicago theater with original scores for St. Nicholas Theater. His recent theater music was featured in works by Provision Theater and Citadel Theater. Currently Elliott stays active with every facet of commercial audio production, and he continues to produce work for singer-songwriters—from song demos to complete CD production. Not only an accomplished songwriter, but a lyricist as well, Elliott is often called upon to pen new material. His songs continue to be aired on ABC-TV daytime programming, and one of his songs, Plastered in Paris, was recently included on the Dan Fogelberg CD, Live at Carnegie Hall.
