Sung here by the great bass baritone Paul Robeson. Originally sung a whole step down in F, this track has been doctored to be in G to match our song sheet.

Not the key we play in (C). They do it in E, a terrible key for ukes. I played with pitch shifting to F or D so we could play along, but not only did it take away from lovely feel of the song, it required some Martian chords, like Bb minor. Ooh. |

Recently we learned this sweet old timey song, I'll See You In My Dreams. It was a favorite of George Harrison's (a tireless ambassador for the ukulele) and Joe Brown played it to close the memorial Concert for George. Here is Joe Brown singing I'll See You In My Dreams.

Lemon Boy was recorded in the key of E—a great guitar key, but a terrible ukulele key. So I digitally shifted the key to G, making the recording sound bizarre, but allowing us to at least learn it and play along. Click on the image to the left to enjoy this kicky, clever song on YouTube.
